UWA WELCOMES DR NAG RAO, FOUNDER OF LV PRASAD EYE INSTITUTE, TO PRESENT TO OPTOMETRISTS, OPTOMETRY STUDENTS, AND OPTICAL DISPENSERS ON HOW TO USE THEIR SKILLS TO ENVISION GLOBAL CHANGE WITHIN HEALTHCARE AND PUBLIC HEALTH, INCLUDING MAKING A SOCIAL IMPACT.
The LV Prasad Eye Institue was founded in Hyderabad, India in 1986 and has since provided outpatient services to over 21 million people and provided sight-saving surgical services to over 2 million others across India.
Dr Nag Rao is recognised as a world leader in blindness prevention having dedicated more than 20 years to the development of sustainable and locally managed eye care programs and infastructure in developing countries such as India.
UWA Optometry and OSWA have invited Dr Nag Rao, a world-renowned International ophthalmologist and the founder of LV Prasad Eye Institute, to present at UWA. Dr Rao will discuss social impact, public health, philanthropy, and how clinicians can use their skills to drive global health.…
