April is a qualified optical dispenser with a degree in visual communication design and a high level of expertise in optics, business management and tertiary education. In 2022 she was 1 of 4 finalists worldwide for the International Optician of the Year Award.

She has experience in practice management within the corporate and independent sectors of optical dispensing and is a qualified trainer & assessor. April has been a senior lecturer at ACOD since the college began in 2017, teaching the Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing course across various states of Australia and New Zealand. She is a passionate advocate for the optical dispensing profession and has contributed to various articles and authored dispensing columns in Australian and New Zealand Ophthalmic media publications including mivision, Insight, Eyetalk and NZ Optics. April is committed to professional excellence and ensuring the Optical Dispensing profession reaches its full potential.
