Wayne joined the Optical Industry in 1988 as a trainee with Gibb & Beeman. He has thirteen years’ corporate experience in many roles within optics; including Optical Dispensing, Laboratory Technician, Store/Practice Manager, Trainer and Assessor for other employees. Several years in private practice lead to becoming a business owner for the past 17 years. His two Practice locations specialise in prescription safety eyewear with many varied corporate customers. Having been in the industry for over 34 years Wayne has seen many changes and advances in both the industry and Optical Dispensing in general. Having a network of likeminded individuals and organisations can only lead to a more united industry with better qualification options and more educated professionals.
