Fiona is a seasoned optometrist with over 40 years of experience who holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and is a Registered Dispensing Optician. Fiona has worked in various roles within the industry, including as a pre-registration trainee, training manager, and practice partner.

Currently, Fiona works as a freelance consultant, specialising in paediatric and complex dispensing. She is passionate about education and training, contributing through CPD articles, workshops, and online sessions. Fiona is also a Practical Examiner for ABDO, the professional body for opticians in the UK.

Fiona has held leadership positions in numerous organisations, including the International Opticians Association, ABDO, the Optical Confederation, and Optometry Scotland. She has also been involved with the European Academy of Optometry & Optics and the Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers.
